Terms of use

The rules for using the audit, and what its results do and do not mean.

Acceptable use

Audit only websites you own or are authorised to test. The service makes real requests to the address you submit, and submitting a site you have no relationship with causes traffic to a third party in your stead.

You must not use the service to:

What the score means

Monitoring requests

You may ask us to watch a website and tell you when its score changes. Two conditions apply, and both exist to stop the service being used against the site being watched:

Submitting a website you have no relationship with, using an address you do not control, is a misuse of the service. We may decline or remove any monitoring request, and we will remove one on request from the operator of the website concerned without requiring a reason.

Monitoring is a convenience, not a commitment. We do not guarantee that every change will be detected or that any particular email will be delivered, and you should not treat the absence of an email as evidence that a website has not changed.

Reliance

Reports are provided for information. They are generated automatically, may contain errors, and are not professional advice. Verify a finding before acting on it, particularly before making changes that are difficult to reverse. You remain responsible for decisions you take about your website.

Availability

The service is in free beta. It may be unavailable, rate limited, or changed without notice, and checks, weights, and the methodology version may change as calibration continues. Scores from different methodology versions are not directly comparable.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the service or its reports.
